Utah st. should own the boards just as they did the last time outrebounding CS 49-28, 19-10 on the offensive glass = plenty of points to cover. Utah St. by double digits.

Frankly AZ just hasn't convinced me. Sure they played a fine game at Stanford last time out, but they have been on a slide. USC just beat AZ by 9 at home. ARIZONA is 4-12 ATS (-9.2 Units) in home games after failing to cover 2 of their last 3 against the spread over the last 3 seasons. I'm betting on AZ getting out to the usual slow start here.

Cussin it, just playing the devil's advocate here, but I wouldn't touch USC with a ten foot pole right now. They couldn't have tried any less in their last two home games, and Arizona will remember what happened the last time they played the Trojans. USC will engage 'Zona in their run and gun style which plays right into Zona's hands. SC does not have the ballers to run with UA. Also, Des Farmer hurt himself in practice yesterday. He will play but is not 100%. Arizona early and often to run USC out of the gym and pour it on

One thing about Utah State before you unload on them.In the first matchup,Northridge suspended Chris Davis and 6'9 forward Joseph Frazier.These guys average 11 and 12 points apiece and the Matadors are playing better ball lately.Regardless,Northridge is still a weak team on the boards and the Aggies are a better overall team,but use caution.

whormoan, accept your point about sc last 2 efforts, however usc SCORED 99 points against AZ last meeting, 99!.
USC is 6-1 ATS (+4.9 Units) in road games after having lost 2 of their last 3 games over the last 3 seasons.
I expect AZ to win this game, and they may even cover the 16.5, BUT this is a 1stH bet based on AZ lackluster 1stH performances overall this season.

I was under the impression these guys would return in February as it was not an academic suspension.Turns out,Braswell made it permanent after the Pacific game.I stand corrected as I had not checked up on it recently.Anyway,I will be on them with you.

agree that at 1st look - this line appears to be kind of low.

however on the road - USU has been asking for trouble in the big west. when playing at fullerton and riverside - they needed to score something like the last 10 @ fullerton and the last 6-8 @ riverside to pull out close wins.

USU has been begging teams to knock them off - just asking for trouble - and i am not so sure they might not get their "wish" here.

northridge is playing their best ball of the season - and while i will grant you that isn't hard to do since they have sucked for most of it - the fact remains in that tiny little place they call home - funny things can - and do - happen there.

for the record - usu should kill them but i wonder how much USU is overlooking this game - and looking to saturday's game AT pacific who will be 11-1 in conference play after they squash idaho thursday (USU is 11-0 in conference play heading into this game @ csun).

to me - this one smells of a 1st class trap all the way and one i am avoiding at all costs for it will not shock me 1 bit to see this game be a life-and-death battle for USU with the game being anyone's to win with 30 seconds left.

make me play the game - and i will leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeean to the dog here and take csun +5.5 but only because i sense this is a trap here.

Wink makes an tempting argument for not playing on USU, and may well be right, BUT if USU controls the boards, and not nearly as commanding as they had vs. North in the 1st meeting, particularly on the offensive glass, how could they lose?
If you outrebound your opponents 10-20 in a game how could you not cover less than 3 baskets? You'd have to shoot like 25% or less for the game.

Utep handled F-state pretty good last time out, thanks to a 50% effort from the field, though they were outrebounded. With the f-state suspensions still this play is worth putting some units on.
Utep 13-4 ats overall, 6-1 against very good defensive teams. Game should be closer but I'll take the point as Utep should win straight up here.

i was dead on right about a look ahead to the big pacific/utah state game saturday. i just got the team wromg - it was pacific who looked ahead and it was USU who just kicked the sh*t out of northridge.
